I’ll paint on a canvas

a picture of dreams,

I’ll use all the lavenders,

the corals and creams.

My brush will be

loadedwith stardust, too.

Welcome to Rainbow Trail Creations, my online Art Gallery! When I was a little girl, I loved to visit my relatives in Goodland, Kansas. Originally from Colby, traveling to Kansas was like going home again. One of my favorite things to do was visit my Great Uncle, who was also an artist and writer. I remember creeping quietly back to his studio and studying intently the new paintings he was working on. I loved the vivid colors and textures on canvas. He was one of my first inspirations to become an artist, and still inspires me today with the enthusiasm and joy he found in painting "a picture of dreams." Though most people knew him as Lowell Connolly, to me he was "Unky." "Unky taught me the wonders of putting pencil, chalk and brush to paper. He showed me better than anyone else could that magic can be contained in the paint on a brush. The many colors, the tints and shades, can create the visions of the heart and make them real. Much of my inspiration comes from the world of Spirit and the world of dreams. I continue to create, hoping to bring out the beauty of the Earth, the dreams of the people I love, and those every day things we take for granted. As you view my work, I hope you can feel its touch . . . . .
